HSC Potential Difference
/A tutorial sheet on the concept of potential difference is given below.
- Two wires, one of resistance R and the other of resistance 2R are connected in parallel to a 12 V battery of zero internal resistance. Compare the potential differences across each wire.
- Two wires are made of the same material and have the same diameter. One wire has a length L and the other wire a length 2L. Thw wires are connected in series with a 12 V battery. (a) Which wire has a greater potential difference across its ends? (b) Which wire releases the most heat energy in one second?
